We're easy to find!

From Chico:
Take Highway 32 (9th) east toward Chester, passing by California Park and heading up the hill.  The trek is 70 miles total through beautiful Forest Ranch and Butte Meadows areas, and then on through parts of Lassen National Park.  The road ends at Highway 36, where you take a right and travel the remaining distance in to town.  You'll spot the temperature sign on your right just before the grocery store...
look across the street for our little moose on the sign out front!

From Susanville:
(This is easy!)
Just head West on Highway 36... see you in 35 miles!

From the Bay Area:
(OK - a LITTLE harder, but still a nice drive!  And what a reward at the end!)
Once you get to Highway 80, take it east to 505.
Go north on 505 until it merges onto Highway 5 headed north.
The next boring hour or so will make you really glad you're going to the mountains...
Look for Highway 36 (exit 649) and take it towards Chico.
In about 68 miles, you'll hit paradise..
We're on the left, across from the grocery store!  Look for our moose...
(The drive will take about 4 hours, depending on where you start out.)

We'll be ready for you when you get here!

Local Weather:

Truly a FOUR season area, Chester enjoys mild and wonderful springtime weather in the 70's, usually from late March to June.  Summertime increases the heat to an enjoyable 80 degree range as everyone hits the lake for watersports.  Fall brings the leaves and temperatures down - just a bit.  And, if you like snow, this is the place to be from Thanksgiving to Spring!  Snowmobilers, cross-country skiers and many other nature-seekers enjoy volumes of fresh powdery snow throughout the winter.
